After my last post on the World Fair, a friend told me that the best remnant of the 1982 World Fair was Petro’s chili and chips.  So today, when I saw the Petro’s food truck in Market Square, I just had to give the original chili and chips (Figure 1) a try.

It was good until I got to the chips, which turned out to be Fritos.  I like Fritos normally, but it didn’t work well with the chili, making it overly salty and almost overwhelming the chili taste.  So All just ate all the delicious chili and its yummy toppings!

To drink, I had a sweetened orange iced tea (Figure 2), which was daunting in a giant cup.  But when I tasted the orangey sweetness, I slurped it right up like I would with a nutella milkshake!

Tips:

  1. If you REALLY like Fritos, perhaps you will enjoy them with the chili; otherwise, just eat the yummy, thick chili on top!
  2. DEFINITELY get the orange iced tea!  I promise you’ll finish it, especially on a hot day!
