Schmackin' mouthwatering cookies
I wonder if Santa would eat the cookies put out on Christmas Eve if he has had Schmackary's. This cookie heaven in the Big Apple was started as a hobby by an aspiring actor from Lincoln, Nebraska. First selling by the dozen out of his tiny apartment in Hell's Kitchen, Zachary Schmahl now has a storefront with the cutest painting on 45th and 9th in Midtown.
As you can tell from the above photos, the cookies offered are a bit... different. Schmackary's sells over 40 kinds of cookies, including the more "normal" classics and the more exciting seasonal cookies. Just looking at these cookies, I think I'm going to be stopping by at least every other day...
I tried the Key Lime and Sch'mores cookies since they seemed to be the most interesting. Munching on the key lime cookie was like taking bites of a luscious key lime pie. To say the least, I was amazed. The Sch'mores was delicious where there was the toasted marshmallow on top, but eating the cookie itself, there was a spice that made it taste a bit funky. Although I'm still not sure how I feel about the Sch'mores, I'm definitely ready to go back for some more cookies!
- Schmackary's has a happy hour from 3-5 pm, which includes 2 cookies and a glass of milk!
- They deliver!!!
- You should definitely go to dinner nearby (perhaps try out OBAO) and then head to Schmackary's for dessert!
